Edward Jeremiah Hogan was a Canadian hockey player from Quebec City, primarily known for his role as a winger during the first decade of the 1900s. Hogan spent the majority of his career with his hometown Quebec Hockey Club (also known as the Bulldogs), participating in several major early hockey leagues from 1899 to 1908, including the Canadian Amateur Hockey League (CAHL), the Eastern Canada Amateur Hockey Association (ECAHA), and the Canadian Hockey Association (CHA).
Hogan’s professional career included a season with the Pittsburgh Professionals of the International Hockey League (IHL) in 1906–07. He is perhaps most famously associated with the Renfrew Creamery Kings (colloquially dubbed the “Millionaires” due to the high salaries paid to its star players) of the National Hockey Association (NHA), where he played during the 1909–10 season.
