John “Jack” Marshall was a Canadian professional ice hockey player and executive. A versatile skater who played forward, defense, and rover, Marshall is distinguished as the first player in history to win the Stanley Cup six times. He achieved this feat with four different teams: the Winnipeg Victorias (1901), Montreal Hockey Club (1902, 1903), Montreal Wanderers (1906, 1907, 1908, 1910), and the Toronto Blueshirts (1914). He was a teammate of Cecil Blachford during the Wanderers’ dominant era. Marshall later served as manager and coach of the Toronto Shamrocks and the Wanderers. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1965.
